We are used to store in the fridge almost all products we buy in the shop. It seems like this will prolong their expire date. However, things are slightly different in the reality. There are certain products which are recommended not to store in the fridge with low temperatures.
Eggs

Have you ever notices that in supermarkets eggs are stored on the open shelves? Not in the refrigerated areas? Unlike that, we always put eggs in our fridges at home. One should admit, that both ways are acceptable for this product. The most important is to pay attention to the temperature fluctuation. That’s why forget about the classical “egg section” on the fridge door.
Fruits and vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are stored better in the natural environment. In the refrigerator they become wishy washy, get covered with mould, and decay. The best option is to cover them in paper bags and to put them for storage in wooden boxes or vases. Besides that, avoid any direct sun light.
Honey

Low temperatures affect the quality features of this product in a really bad way. In the fridge, honey gets crystallised and gets hard really fast. It is enough to store honey in a dry and dark place without any direct sun light.
Nut and chocolate cream

In the fridge any type of cream (either nut cream or chocolate cream) will get hard. It will be very difficult to put in on bread or toast. The best way to store such cream is to keep it on the shelf in kitchen.
Jam and another home made conservations

In case all the technology was followed accordingly, the typical home made conservations can be stored up to two years in dry and dark place. It is fine to keep them in the home temperature, however, once opened remember to put them in the fridge.
Ketchup and sauces

Ketchup, hot tomato or soya sauce contain so much salt, vinegar, and other components that it is not necessary to keep them in the fridge. Try not to keep them near the cooker and to use only clean spoons.
Bread and pastry

In the fridge all types of pastries loose their elastic structure, become a little wet and might get covered with decay. In order to keep the freshness of your pastries, keep them in special box covered in paper or special towel.
Chocolate

Low temperatures, as well as high temperatures can affect any chocolate in a bad way. Low temperatures and condensate can cause in a white powder coverage on the chocolate bar surface. Besides that, this product can absorb all fridge odors. That’s why never put fish or meat close to your favourite dark chocolate.
Coffee It is believed that storing coffee in the fridge makes them last longer. In reality, it is absolutely the contrary. The high humidity can damage coffee beans, harming their taste and odor.
